Good Governance Support

The opportunity for education and training in good governance varies greatly within community and service provider organizations. Boards also differ in the degree at which they have implemented good governance principles and practices. Sharing a common framework, principles and practices for good governance encourages better performance, understanding and communication within a board and amongst boards. Governance experts, tng, have generously shared their fundamentals of good governance and accompanying tools that can be applied to any model of governance and are here for you to use. In addition, there are abundant opportunities to learn from each other. This section also includes a place to post and share governance practices and tools that you have found helpful in executing your role as board and board member. You are encouraged to explore, adopt and adapt any of the ideas presented here. The end goal of course is to support you and your board to continually raise the bar on your governance capacity.
